 Welcome to "Betting Down the House - A GBM Blog".  You probably already know what this is if you came here, but in case you stumbled here accidentally (and we're excited to host you anyways!), a little primer.  As you can probably tell from the name, this blog will discuss mid-long (think a few hours in advance) betting opportunities, centering primarily on tennis (but with occasional sprinkles of other things as well).  We will center primarily on tennis here, but since your author never misses the opportunity to place a bet on something just to prove the world wrong, you will occasionally see other betting markets pop here too.  In short, just an ordinary guy, BETTING DOWN THE HOUSE!!!

A word on your author... just a few dawns (well maybe a few months) ago, was an occasional tennis better and mostly a fan and mediocre club-level player.  But the lure of 365 betting markets (approximately) on tennis matches was too much of a lure for this individual, so he began finding the matches and BETTING DOWN THE HOUSE!

We'll bring you the analysis on the tournament outrights, the moneylines, game spreads, over/unders, set spreads, and all the ace props we can find!  We also hope to give you some general angles on the sport of tennis, key news, statistical trends, and anything else we find worth writing about.  At this point, you're probably wondering why this weird "A GBM Blog" is sitting at the end of the title.  GBM refers to the Game, Bet, Match podcast, where you'll regularly find your author spending way too much time analyzing tennis and not focusing on proper mannerisms like not interrupting and voice modulation.  If you're looking for more analysis like this, especially in an audio form, head on over!  Here's the link to the youtube channel for that (you'll probably see it in 75% of the posts on this blog).  GBM is also very active on twitter, the twitter link is also posted below.  We would prefer to stay on twitter, but, for a multitiude of reasons, that space was too small for detailed write-ups, so we'll post the deep stuff here.  That said, you'll see more bets on the GBM twitter (just a small segment of those bets that require additional analysis will be posted here).

A final note for everyone, we seek to create a positive, supportive environment here at GBM and Betting Down the House.  Light sarcasm is applauded, constructive criticism is encouraged, debate is yearned for.  But outright bashing and rudeness will not be tolerated.  Please, feel free to drop commentary on the posts, especially if you don't like them.  The house is already gonna burst into flames, so more debate won't harm it.  Welcome and glad to have your readership...

We are back to the blog after a long layoff of doing videos.  That said, Loudmouth has gotten noticeably uglier in the past month and so it is time to go back to blogs.  Today, we will look at a match between Adrian Mannarino and Andrey Rublev!  (Yes I know this match is on a hard court.  But those pics looked cool...) Shanghai Day 6! Humbert vs. Tsitsipas

 OK!  We are back.  After doing no write-ups for two months, we have found the time to provide two write-ups in a single night for the Shanghai GBM plays of the day.  This post will be dedicated to the Humbert/Tsitsipas matchup, where we will see two 25-year olds face off, with the loser getting the price of being allowed to leave Asia and head back to friendly European confines. Day 5 Wimbledon Match Write-up - Musetti vs. Hurkacz!

 Hi everyone, back to the write-up grind!  Your favorite loudmouth was too sleepy last night after the GBM Pod and fell asleep on his laptop in the middle of the Raonic-Paul write-up.  Too bad, you literally would have seen that the write-up said that Paul was a better tennis player to the tune of 3-0, but that his choking tendencies + Raonic's serve gave Raonic a chance of winning one set, but winning two was highly unlikely.  Alas, I don't get to count it because I didn't complete the assignment (though GBM did cash the bet so at the end of the day, hope you tailed us and cashed too!).   While we are staying at it, we also called the Sinner-Schwartzman match quite well, we told you to lay up to 10 games if necessary (Sinner ended up winning by 11games, 7-5 6-2 6-1).
